Bhering Advogados participates in the “Atacado Central” seizure operation in Belo Horizonte
On Tuesday, August 6th, Bhering Advogados, in collaboration with agents from the Military Police and the Federal Revenue of Brazil, participated in a significant seizure operation at a center for the trade of counterfeit and irregularly imported products in downtown Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
The “Atacado Central” operation targeted 8 distributors in the region and seized 200 packages of goods with an estimated value of R$ 400,000. The main items seized were toys, clothing, and electronics.
Our Anti-Counterfeiting and Piracy Department works closely with the Military Police and the Federal Revenue to strengthen control measures against the trade of counterfeit products.

Bhering Advogados Anti-Counterfeiting Department attends large-scale seizure operation in Tramandaí
On March 6, 2024, Bhering Advogados, in collaboration with agents from the Civil Police and the DECON (Consumer Police Station of Brazil), participated in a significant seizure operation in the city of Tramandaí, State of Rio Grande do Sul, located in the Southern region of Brazil. This operation resulted in the seizure of thousands of counterfeit products, including clothing articles, shoes, and perfumes.
Our Anti-counterfeiting department collaborates closely with Civil Police and DECON officials in the South of Brazil to enhance control measures against the trade of counterfeit products.

Partner Philippe Bhering has been appointed as the Coordinator of the International Law Commission at the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association (ABPI) for the 2024–2025 term.

Bhering Advogados Anti-Counterfeiting Department attends large-scale seizure operation in São Paulo
In late September 2023, Bhering Advogados, in collaboration with agents from the Civil Police and the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service, participated in a significant seizure operation in the city of São Paulo. This operation resulted in the successful apprehension of approximately 60.000 products valued at a few million reais.
Our Anti-counterfeiting department maintains a close collaboration with Civil Police and IRS officials in São Paulo to enhance control measures against the trade of counterfeit products.

Bhering Advogados Anti-Counterfeiting Department attends large-scale seizure operation in Porto Alegre
Last Thursday, on October 5, 2023, Bhering Advogados, in collaboration with agents from the Civil Police, the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service, Anatel, and Inmetro, participated in a significant seizure operation in the city Porto Alegre, located in the southern region of Brazil. This operation resulted in the successful apprehension of 10 tons of counterfeit products across four stores.
Our Anti-Counterfeiting department works closely with the Civil Police and the Federal Revenue of Porto Alegre to enhance control measures for the trade in counterfeit products.
