Bhering Advogados is hosting an Anti-Counterfeiting Training for Customs Office in Fortaleza

On March 27th, Bhering Advogados organized an Anti-Counterfeiting Training Session for agents of the Interior Policing Battalion of the Military Police of Ceará (responsible for monitoring state highways), the National Land Transport Agency, the National Telecommunications Agency, the Finance Department of the State of Ceará and the Smuggling and Embezzlement Repression Division of the 3rd Tax Region, in Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará. The training focused on techniques for identifying counterfeit products, mainly from the automotive, toy and entertainment segments, enhancing the ability of customs agents to inspect goods destinated for or in transit through Brazil.

More than 50 agents took part in the training, which lasted all day and was conducted by the firm’s criminal law specialist, Lucas Castro.

This training is part of the ongoing efforts by our Anti-Counterfeiting department to strengthen control measures against the import of counterfeit products.
