Bhering Advogados Supports Civil Police Raid on Counterfeit Keychain Factory in Curitiba, Paraná

On June 24, 2026, the firm’s Criminal team accompanied a Civil Police operation in Curitiba, Paraná, carried out at a factory suspected of manufacturing counterfeit keychains.

Eleven agents participated in the action: eight civil police officers from Curitiba’s 7th Police District, two agents from the Paraná State Treasury Department (Secretaria da Fazenda), and one agent from Curitiba’s Municipal Urban Planning Department.

The Seizure and Its Aftermath

The operation resulted in the seizure of approximately 80,000 counterfeit keychains and roughly 30 metal molds used in the manufacturing process, each valued at an estimated R$15,000. The factory’s owners were arrested in flagrante delicto and released the following morning after a custody hearing. Additionally, the Municipal Urban Planning Department indicated that the establishment’s operating license may be revoked and the premises shut down.
