World Cancer Day, every 4th of February, is the worldwide initiative led by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) with support from the World Health Organization (WHO). This important initiative aims to raise world cancer awareness and to catalyze individual, collective and government engagement. Created through the Paris Charter in 2000, the commemorative date is an opportunity to dream of a world where millions of lives are saved through cancer prevention and a place with accessible cancer treatment for everyone.
