The International Day for Privacy and Data Protection is celebrated since 2007, with the signing of Convention 108 (Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to the Automatic Processing of Personal Data), on January 28, 1981.

Imbued with the spirit of the event, Bhering Advogados also encourages awareness of the importance of promoting security measures to protect personal data. Although not an officially observed date in Brazil, it is important to highlight the necessary creation of an increase in the necessary perception of the notions of privacy by the population. Thus, we invite everyone to review the Privacy Settings of their web browser, or to read the Privacy Terms of their favorite application to see if they meet their security expectations.
