China has promised last Sunday to improve the “sever situation” of music piracy on their country, in an annual event of the Music Industry in Cannes, where they intend to learn and exchange knowledge with companies from all over the world.

China has been receiving criticism for their acts on the fight against piracy through the internet in the past years. A report published this month by the IFPI, the entity that represents the recording industry worldwide, announced that piracy responded for 99% of the Chinese music market.
