The article “The New Appointments of the National Council for the Protection of Personal Data and the Factual Impossibility of Application of Sanctions at the moment”, authored by Clarisse De La Cerda, was published in the 3rd edition of 2021 of the Newsletter “Recht & Steuern”, from the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry of São Paulo (AHK/São Paulo).

The article presents how the Federal Government is structuring the National Council for the Protection of Personal Data and Privacy and how the National Data Protection Authority conducts its first inspection activities before publishing the Regulation for Inspection and Application of Administrative Sanctions.
