The BPTO launched the project Vitrine de PI (“IP Marketplace”), by means of which the owners of Industrial Property rights and technology developers will be able to expose their products and services to parties potentially interested in their exploitation. In turn, interested parties will be able to research and identify technological solutions that are of interest to them and that are available for negotiation.

The availability of the information is bound to the existence of an active process at the BPTO, which ascertains the expectancy or the effective Intellectual Property rights of the exposer. Therefore, the BPTO will act as a “bridge” between the parties, broadening its scope of activities by offering a new service, facilitating technology transfer and licensing of IP assets, without forsaking legal certainty.

As from 01/Oct/2020, Vitrine de PI will be available at the BPTO’s website for patent applications filed at least eighteen months before or with a request for anticipated publication, and also for patents already issued.
