  Marcelo is a Chemical Engineer specialized in Intellectual Property Law, with over 14 years of experience advising clients on Industrial Property matters, including Patents, Industrial Designs, Plant Variety Protection, and Software Registration.

  Throughout his career, he has worked at leading Intellectual Property law firms in Brazil and within the intellectual property departments of multinational pharmaceutical companies, advising domestic and international clients across multiple technology sectors, particularly pharmaceuticals, chemicals, agrochemicals, oil and gas, metallurgy, biotechnology, industrial inputs, veterinary products, and agribusiness.

  He has extensive experience supporting Research, Development and Innovation (R&D and RD&I) teams, including intellectual property training, patent database searching, technology intelligence, patent landscape analysis, and strategic advisory services.
